Who I am
I'm Oleg Patsay, a software engineer and engineering leader with more than a decade of experience building backend systems, evolving complex software and leading engineering teams.
What I work on
I lead the design and evolution of complex software systems — from architecture and engineering practices to AI-enabled development. The interesting part is not the model demo. It is the boundary where a model meets a system, a team and ownership.
Engineering background
Most of my career has been inside mature backends and distributed systems: the job was not to draw a perfect architecture, but to keep a system understandable enough to change and ship.

How I think about engineering
Complex systems should remain understandable enough for teams to change them safely. Tools and AI can accelerate engineering, but responsibility for a change still belongs to an engineer.
Current focus
AI engineering, architecture of complex systems, and engineering leadership: keeping control of the system when generation gets faster than review.
